Easter

We had such a fabulous Easter Sunday!  I was feeling a little bummed that we weren't able to spend the holiday with any of our extended family, but the day was just too gorgeous not to enjoy!   Calder woke up early and quickly found the Easter baskets.  He tried so hard to be patient and wait for Tessa to wake up, but once he saw some of the contents of his basket, he couldn't keep his hands off.  :)

Calder has been begging for a magnifying glass for months!

The Easter Bunny thought Tessa should have one too.

Afterwards, we headed outside to find the eggs that the Easter Bunny left.  They did great and really enjoyed the hunt!
Do you like Calder's egg-picking method?

Next, we were off to church, followed by a yummy pancake lunch and some playtime outside.

Big Bro loooooooves his baby sister.  Lots.

Chillin' on the front porch and enjoying the weather!

It was an absolutely beautiful day, so after Tessa's nap we headed into the city to one of my most favorite places:

Photobucket

Not only was it Alyse's first visit to the Jefferson Memorial, it was a first for Calder and Tessa too.  I'm not even sure if I've been there since Calder was born!

Alyse was here!

Rocky!

It was such a great day -- who cares that our Easter dinner came from the NPS refreshment stand?
