More computer problems

I'm know way behind on blog-posting. I have tons of great photos of Calder (and Sandhya) from a trip to the zoo, the cousin's first sleepover and Thanksgiving that I can't wait to post. I'll catch up as soon as our laptop gets out of the repair shop (yes, the one we bought less than 2 months ago). Ugh.

Sliding and Sliding and Sliding

It was a gorgeous day yesterday, so I took Calder to a local park where he had a blast playing on the slide! He must have climbed up and slid down 15 times before he got tired of it. He was very proud that he could do it all by himself! And while he was climbing up the first time, he very diligently cleaned off all of the leaves that were on the steps.

This video isn't the best quality -- I took it using my cell phone. And, since I can't figure out how to upload the videos from our camcorder, this will have to do for now!

A bath please, Mommy!

We've been putting a moderate amount of effort into teaching Calder baby sign language. He's picked up a handful of signs so far, which is great, since we really haven't been all that consistent with him.

So, the other night, he stood at the bottom of the stairs and signed 'please'...

He then took a step up and signed 'bath'! I was so in awe of how well my baby was communicating with me!
And how could I not oblige when he asked so adorably and politely!?

Only problem is...he now asks adorably and politely SEVERAL times a day! He truly is a water baby! So, we've decided to sign him up for his 2nd swim class this winter. Can't wait!

Baby wants some lemons!

Calder absolutely loves lemons. He loves to suck out all of the juice (after we remove the seeds, of course). And he is not at all affected by their tartness -- not even a wince!

Fascination

Calder is absolutely fascinated by leaves. Each time he picks up a new leaf it's as if he has found the most incredibly exciting new thing!

New Family Photos

Dave's parents came in for a quick visit this weekend. We took the opportunity to take some new family photos amidst the fall foliage in our front yard.

How Now Brown Cow...

A few days ago I said I was posting the last of the Halloween photos. Well, I lied. I forgot that my boss had given me this cow costume that her kids had grown out of, so I had to see how cute he would look in it!

Moo Moo!!

Sharing with Lucky

Calder laughed hysterically as he shared his Cheerios with Lucky this afternoon. He loved the way it felt as Lucky licked every crumb off his little fingers!

Halloween is finally here!

I know I've posted a million Halloween pictures already -- but it's just such a fantastic holiday! Here are the last ones!

Here's Calder reading a ghost story before heading out to trick-or-treat!

It did not take him long to get the hang of trick-or-treating! He would walk right up to the door and hold out his little bag for his goodies!
First trick-or-treat! We just took him around to the neighbors in our cul-de-sac. They adored him! And it was a great opportunity for us to meet many of our new neighbors!

Back at home, Calder checks out his goodies! Calder is too young for candy, so mommy and daddy have some treats to enjoy!

Mommy, this 'cracker' is for you! Yes, Calder considers many foods to be 'crackers'. He literally pulled out each item from his bag, held it out, and said 'cracker!' :)

Calder and Will

Calder's friend Will (3 1/2 months) came over for a playdate on Halloween! And their moms enjoyed chatting and catching up too!

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a picture of Calder and Will in their costumes! Aren't they the most adorable lion and owl you've ever seen?!

More Spooky Fun!

We attended two Halloween parties this past weekend. These pictures are from the first. Calder and a bunch of his buddies from our mom's group enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at JW Tumbles -- an indoor gym for kids! Here's a very serious owl taking a train ride!
Sweet Sandhya!
Calder was quite the gentleman as he rowed the boat for Amelia, the Redskins cheerleader. (Daddy shouldn't worry -- I don't think it's a serious relationship!) Amelia seems to be enjoying the ride!

Calder and Sandhya are ready to go down the slide!

At the 2nd party of the day, Calder made a new friend - Nemo!
