A New Pumpkin Patch

We checked out a new pumpkin patch/farm this year with some friends.  With five kids between us, it proved a bit hard to actually stick together, but everyone had a lot of fun!

The giant jumping pillow was a first for us.  So much fun!
I have to admit...I was a little jealous that this was only for kids. Why do they get to have all the fun!?

A pony ride for Tessa!

And Alyse too!  She clutched Daddy with one hand the whole time.

The big kids got to try out the race track.
Will touched Tessa's hair and didn't lose a limb.  She must like him.
Yep, she does.

The mini corn maze was a huge hit with our kids!

These jumping ponies were super fun.  And adults got to play too.  Tessa and I had a little race.  And I really do mean little -- we didn't even make it all the way around the track!  It was hard!

More driving.
A little relaxation before heading home!

Pumpkin Playground

As is our fall tradition, we spent a good amount of time at pumpkin patches this season!  The kids always have a blast!  They can be pricey, so we definitely took advantage of the free pumpkin playground at the produce market near our house!

Ready to climb some pumpkins.

Hide and Seek!

Chickens, Hens and Roosters galore!

Roseanne.  The 923 lb pumpkin.  A steal of a deal at $1390.
Alyse loved the mini pumpkins the best.  She kept sneaking them into our shopping basket.

Sugar and spice and everything nice, right?

More hide and seek!

The Bike Helmet

It's hard to believe it was just a month ago when we were playing outside in shorts and tee shirts.  A certain little someone started taking an interest in learning to ride her tricycle this fall....but she wasn't so much a fan of the bike helmet.  Let's hope she forgets about how much she hates it by next summer!

Michigan Weekend {in September}

Back in mid-September, Tessa and I took a mommy-and-me trip to Michigan for a weekend. It was a lot of fun and we got to see so many extended family members during our trip!

The first day we had a family gathering at a hotel/water park to celebrate my aunt's birthday. Tessa had an absolute ball and was quite the daredevil on all of the water slides.

The next day, we headed to my Dad's and took a trip to a nearby farm.  We loved the scenery there -- not to mention the cider and donuts!

Tessa also got her first guitar lesson with Poppa's new guitar!

And, before we left, we had one more visit with my Grandma.  She left to spend the winter in AZ a few weeks later.

So long, Michigan!  See you next time!

A little video of that first lesson...
