Calder's Farm

On our last day in Michigan, we spent the morning at a farm about a half hour from my mom's house.  I've been wanting to take Calder there for years, because it is called Calder's Farm!  It really was a great little farm, with a nice variety of animals and yummy ice cream.  Everyone in our group (10 kids and 10 adults) had a great time!

We spent our 2nd day in Michigan visiting with my dad and Peggy. The kids had a blast playing at the local park!

Michigan in June -- Part 1

Sean and Vandana and family were in Michigan in June, so we made a trip out there for a long weekend to see everyone. We had a great time at a family gathering and the kids loved playing with all of their cousins!

Last Day of Kindergarten

In mid-June, my big boy finished Kindergarten! Wow, that went by fast! We picked him up a few hours early on the last day because we were driving to Michigan for the weekend. He was so happy as his friends Ethan and Rylee escorted him to the office from his classroom, but as soon as we got in the car and started to drive off, he burst into tears. He was so upset because he was going to miss his teachers and his school friends! He cried on and off the whole weekend, but eventually got over it. He has been talking about his friends all summer and can't wait to find out who will be in his first grade class!
