It's the little things

After our tulip farm visit, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. Afterwards, Tessa really wanted to challenge Zaidy to a game of checkers.  It was a beautiful day, so we sat down on the porch and ended up staying there for over an hour.  Tessa had quite the lucky streak in checkers that day!

And this little one made her own kind of fun.  She ran back and forth across the porch singing and dancing.  She was having such a ball!

I love this last picture...even though Alyse is blurry.  She was teasing Zaidy and completely cracking herself up.  Such a fun, relaxing, simple time with family.  I'll always remember this day.

Tulip Farm

We took Nonna and Zaidy to a local tulip farm in May.  It was so pretty!  The girls loved picking daffodils and tulips, and if you happened to pull the bulb while picking, you got to keep it!  Tessa did great and scored several bulbs that we later planted at home and hope to see blossom next Spring!

They also had a really fun time trying on all of the Dutch clogs!  It was so cute.

Biking with Zaidy

Tessa thrives on one-on-one attention. So, she definitely loved when Zaidy helped her tune-up her bike and then helped her practice taking it for a spin! 

 

 

 

A beautiful day in the neighborhood

The girls loved all of the pink petals throughout our neighborhood this spring.  I have to admit -- I loved it too!  And I also loved the opportunity to snap some pics of my girls filled with joy!
