Buddy Walk
Last weekend, we participated in the 2012 Northern Virginia Buddy Walk. The walk is put together by the National Down Syndrome Society to help promote understanding and acceptance of people with Down syndrome.
It was so much fun to do this as a family. It was an easy 1-mile walk around the George Mason University campus, and it was an absolutely gorgeous day! The whole event was a lot of fun, with lots of kid-friendly attractions. And best of all? Thanks to our very generous family and friends, we raised $770 for this wonderful organization! We can't wait to do it again next year!

She's cool like that. |
Tessa really struggled with climbing this part of an obstacle course. But never fear...big brother is here to help! |
After several attempts, she finally made it up the ladder and down the slide on the other side. Calder was so proud of her, he gave her a huge hug at the bottom! :) |
Daddy and his girls. |
Taking a break from the walk to climb a tree! |
Tessa's turn! |
The littlest buddy walker. She walked a good portion of it! |
Gotta get a hug from Elmo! |
She stalked Dora quietly for several minutes, before she finally got her attention! |
A kitty cat face for Tessa. |
A snake for Calder. |
And a pumpkin for Alyse! |
So much fun! |
