First Haircut

We took Calder to get his first haircut today! He did so well!! It helped that he was allowed to sit on Daddy's lap. We went to a place called Cartoon Cuts, where they cater to kids by having little televisions at each station. Calder enjoyed watching Barney while getting his trim!

PIZZA!

We let Calder try some pizza as a bedtime snack the other night. He absolutely LOVED it! He wanted more and more and was quite upset when it was all gone and Mommy and Daddy got serious about putting him to bed for the night.

What happened to my pudgy baby??

So, now that Calder is on the move it's becoming increasingly difficult to get a good picture of him. I like how this one shows him practicing his walking skills, but I'm sad that he looks as though he's already losing much of that baby fat!

Calder had Mommy and Daddy in hysterics as he practiced how to relax in his new beach chair!! He was really hamming it up -- the more we laughed, the more he posed!

Calder was sad to see all of his grandparents and friends say goodbye for the weekend. He was so happy that they all came to help him celebrate his birthday!!

Our Little Boy

I feel like he looks like such a little boy in this picture. He really is growing out of that 'baby' look way too quickly!

HE WALKS!

Calder started walking by himself on August 17th -- 2 days before his 1st birthday! He even waited until all of his grandparents had arrived so they could all witness him performing this new skill for the first time!! :) He is SOO proud of himself (as are we) and now all he wants to do is walk, walk, walk!

First Birthday Party!!!

Party at Day Care

Calder had a little birthday party at day care! Unfortunately, it was the end of the day, and he was a little cranky, so he cried through much of the party! :(

JW Tumbles

We spent an afternoon at a new indoor playgym called JW Tumbles. Calder had a blast crawling and climbing over everything!

Calder and I hosted a playdate at our house today for his little friends (and their moms!) He had a great time -- he was ecstatic to have his friends at his house! He literally did not stop moving for 2 hours. Unfortunately he was so wound up, he couldn't take a nap afterwards, even though he was extremely tired!

Calder loves to crawl onto Lucky's pillow and take a rest. But only for about 30 seconds before he is on the go again!

First trip to the aquarium

About a week and a half ago we took Calder on his first trip to the Baltimore Aquarium. As you can see, he really enjoyed himself! His ultimate favorite was watching from below as the dolphins performed in their show. He kept pointing to them and saying 'Ooooooooooh!'
